On the right you can see how the sizes will look depending on the Icon Size
setting in the Appearance menu. People usually do not set the icon size to 24. As mentioned above, it's
usually the operating system that selects this size as a kind of thumbnail display (i.e., in a links bar).
A 16 or even a 24-pixel format wasen't really necessary for this set. At that size, too many of the distinguishing
features of each image become disolved so it was not worth it for me to process this extra format into
the icons. Even at 32, some of the icons are stretching the limit of recognizability. The one for the Columbus
Blue Jackets works OK down to 32, while the one for the Anaheim Mighty Ducks begins to suffer at that size.
When the 24 or 16 format is called for, the operating system will automatically take the 32-pixel version and shrink
it to the appropriate size. If you want very detailed icons like these to show up well on your computer, set the
Icon Size in your Appearance menu to at least 48.
